We have been working closely with the JetBackup developers, and have found a small bug in the JB5 release, which can cause a spike in CPU usage.

When running 'strace -p' against any of these processes, a huge output of the following lines will be shown...

recvfrom(6, 0x2ae79f772000, 8192, 0, NULL, NULL) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)

Please note, the suggested solution below is preferred over restarting jetbackup5d, as restarting the daemon will also kill any outstanding backup jobs.

The following instead will only kill the processes in relation to the sync connections, which are present to gather statistical information from the storage...

for pr in $(ps -axfu | grep /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/addons/jetbackup5/api.cgi | awk '{print $2}'); do kill -9 $pr; done;
